WHERE IT STARTED
Cornish Tea and Cornish Coffee was founded in 2012. Created by Duncan Bond, the concept came to him after a chance conversation with his sister in law who was looking for a local tea supplier and wondered why there was nothing available. Duncan took this idea and ran with it, creating the first box of Cornish Tea just 6 months later. Starting out with just our Smugglers Brew, the iconic orange boxes paved the way for coffee which was added a few years later.
WHERE WE ARE TODAY
Back when the brand was founded, we relied upon other suppliers to make our products to our recipes. Fast forward and we now have our very own state-of-the-art factory producing our products in house. With over 50 products and growing rapidly, having our own factory has given us opportunities to develop new products, we were one of the very first to be doing plastic free tea bags. Our team has also grown considerably and we are proud to support over 30 members of Cornish staff with careers and opportunities for development.
WHERE WE'RE GOING
We're consistently developing new products, whether this is coffee pods (watch this space) or smaller versions of our own hot chocolate. Our plans are to continue to keep bringing you great tasting, every day products that you'll love. We are always pushing our sustainable credentials and looking for ways to improve, focusing on the future for our next generations. Cornish Tea & Cornish Coffee continues to grow. Stocked everywhere from artisan coffee shops, 5 star hotels and even in your home. Who knows where we'll be in the future?
