Smugglers Brew was made for people who like their tea strong, honest, and full of flavour.
It was the first product we ever launched at Cornish Tea - sparked by a chat Duncan had with his sister-in-law, who couldn’t find a proper Cornish brew anywhere. Just six months later, we were packing the first box by hand. Bright orange. No frills. Just great tea.
Starting out with Smugglers Brew in those now-iconic orange boxes, we laid the groundwork for everything that followed - including our coffee range, which came a few years later.
The name comes from Cornwall’s smugglers, who shifted goods through hidden coves and tight-knit communities. That same no-nonsense spirit runs through everything we do: bold, full-bodied, and brewed to hit the spot.
